Equipment                                                                Home

Freediving equipment is different to Scuba gear.  The wetsuits don't have zips which make them more comfortable and reduces water flush.  They also have have open cell neoprene on the inside which again reduces water flush and makes them incredibly flexible and supple.  They are slightly more difficult to put on.  You will need a solution of soap and water to help slide on your wetsuit.  You will keep warm for hours in this second skin.  The masks are low volume and the fins are much longer so that you power through the water.  My fins are nearly 3 feet long  The weight belts are rubber so that they don't become slack at depth.
If you already have scuba gear you can freedive with this to see if you like freediving and buy specialist gear later.  If you don't have any gear then the best option is to buy freediving gear.   I bought Picasso equipment and its better priced than scuba equipment.

What is the gear likely to cost.

When I started to look around for Freediving gear a friend recommended Picasso.  I looked at reviews for Picasso on the internet and spoke to other Freedivers and they all spoke favourably about it. The prices are also excellent.

I recently bought the following freediving kit and it is all high spec.  You will need a custom made suit for an extra £38 if you are female or male and your shape does not match the standard sizes.
